The test of Donald Trump's app, Truth Social, comes a year away from banning Trump from Facebook (FB.O), Twitter (TWTR.N), and Alphabet (GOOGL.O) on YouTube.

Donald Trump's app director, Trump Media, and Technology Group (TMTG), has pledged to provide an "interactive and censorship-free experience" for the app, which CEO Devin Nunes said will launch by the end of March.

TMTG remains shrouded in secrecy, and it remains unclear whether the app's goal of free speech can coexist with the policies of Apple (AAPL.O) and the Google Play Store.

Liz Willis, a reporter and vice president of operations for Right Side Broadcasting Network, said she received an email on Tuesday that “T Media Tech LLC” had invited you to audition for the Truth Social.

Willis was able to download the app to her iPhone through the beta testing site TestFlight, which the Apple-owned product developers use before launching their apps in the App Store, and Willis said users have been posting on this version of Truth Social for the past 24 hours.

"I can see my post on Truth Social trump Twitter because it seems like I'm not as pent-up as I've been on Twitter, since 2016," said Dupree, who added that there is currently no edit button.

By late Wednesday, Trump's Truth Social account had 317 followers, according to a screenshot that appeared online, and Trump had 88 million followers before Twitter banned him.

Truth Social lets users post and share “the truth” the same way they do it with a Tweet. There are no ads, according to the app’s testers.

Users choose who to follow and the feed is a mixture of individual posts and an RSS-like news feed. They will be alerted if someone mentions them or starts following them.

Trump's account shows a post he made three days ago, on his realDonaldTrump account with a red check and a message: "Get ready! Your favorite boss will see you soon!”
